This winter’s exhibition shows interiors and styling from Kay Prestney of Kinship Creative.

Bringing something of the urban into the countryside, Kay specialises in rustic Scandi-style design, using displays foraged from the natural environment, recycled furniture and other reclaimed artefacts. Her designs show, very much in the spirit of Willam Morris, that beauty can be accessible to all regardless of income. Not content with transforming the way we think about our homes, Kay also runs creative workshops in venues across North Essex, from lino printing to mindful mood boarding.

She set up the Kinship Gatherings – networking events where artists, designer and writers can talk about their business, and attendees can learn from each other. The Kinship Gatherings are open to all creative people and businesses, but Kay has been particularly attentive towards the need for creative women to form collaborative relationships.
